The Westwood Ridge Facility, located atop a scenic hill in West St. Paul, is home to a vibrant senior living community. This state of the art building features unique and modern amenities including a health clinic, salon/spa, cyber café, dining bistro, fitness center and fireside room.
Steen engineered a 6,000 MBH input high efficiency boiler plant and a 230 ton air cooled chiller plant which were coupled with 4-pipe fan coil units throughout the building to provide comfortable, quiet and efficient space heating and cooling.
Two custom air handling units were also designed to meet the fresh air ventilation requirements of this facility. Each ventilation system included a water energy recovery loop, which captures heat from multiple exhaust air streams to preheat the ventilation air.
